We are moving

You know that feeling... it starts out with a gallon of paint then you decide you need new carpet but since you doing that maybe you should take a wall out make a room larger.  It goes for a while and then you decide you want to move.

Will that is what we are thinking at Sugar Mama's.  We dreamed of having a web site where you could just click on different galleries; wedding, specialty cakes, cookies, cupcakes and other specialty treats.  Wouldn’t it be nice if our customers really knew how to order from us and knew our pricing?  Then we thought we would love to have tutorials and another room for contest.  Oh my and we went on and on... how about a little shopping? We keep dreaming, wouldn’t it be fun if you could just click on categories say like "children s cake" and you could get all our post for children's cakes and you could get some ideas for an upcoming birthday? 
We also wanted a category for parties to give you some dreams  for birthday invitations, favors, games and of course the cake.

We have had fun at our current blog but it is time to move.  Our new web site it "www.sugarmamasonline.com "

Please leave us a comment and tell us how you like our new place.  I think you will like; that we have tabs for our different galleries;  we have categories for our cakes and other treats; we have a menu and you will know how to order; we have shopping.  Yes and we have a tutorial and we are going to have some contest and lots of fun stuff so we would love to have you come and visit us.

Time is running out to donate

Blue Wedding Cake

It seems this year the  most popular color for weddings is blue. Not just any blue but a tiffany blue.   I recently attended a wedding and seen this beautiful cake.  I had to come home and duplicate it.   I used cake dummies.  I don’t think you would want to bit into it.  But I just wanted to play around with some new techniques.  The actual cake had a beautiful broach attached to the bow and the stencils was a simpler design.

Team Aaron

You know we love sweet things.  But the sweetest thing I have seen in my life is a new born baby.  You may have followed my daughter A Jorney of Healing and Happiness blog  and her story of little Aaron. We sure loved and miss him but even though our little Aaron is not here we want to keep his memory alive and we do this by dong errands for non profit organizations.  We call it Aaron's errands.   Currently we are trying to raise money for the  March of Dimes please help us help others that our struggleing with such sad times.

We have ten days to go before our walk! This cake celebrates Spring

This was a fun cake to do. We were only asked to put a cupcake on top and make it look like spring. This is a chocolate chocolate chip cake with rolled buttercream.

Devils Food Cupcake with Callebaut Dark Chocolate Ganache Frosting

This is our homemade Devil's Food Cupcake but wait it definitly isn't ordinary!  We topped it with Callebaut (finest Belgean) Dark Chocolate Ganache and sprinkled Milk Chocolate Curles over it.  You got to try this if you are a lover of Dark chocolate!
